Becc & Ceith’s journey begins where certainty ends—leading them into a world that challenges what they believe, and who they’re becoming.

Unfound Adventures is an interactive fantasy world that serves as an imagination incubator built to help kids reconnect with imagination. Through books, classroom visits, and the world of Bastunia, we create experiences that invite curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connection—on the page and beyond it.

What children imagine today becomes how they navigate the world tomorrow.

Our Mission

Raising Creative Thinkers in a Screen-Filled World

The Why Behind Our Work

In this TEDx talk, Dillon shares the ideas that sparked Unfound Adventures and ultimately led to Bastunia school visits. The talk explores why imagination, storytelling, and hands-on creativity matter now more than ever, and how giving kids space to create can shape the way they see themselves and their future.

The ideas behind Bastunia aren’t theoretical. When kids are given space to imagine, create, and tell their own stories, something remarkable happens.

It all began as a simple question: how do we help kids grow into creative, confident thinkers in a world dominated by screens?

"I really enjoyed both the illustrations and the storyline. It also felt like a bonus to have both the comic version and written version in one book."

"I love how there is a story book mixed with a comic, the story and art are both brilliant, id love to see more books like this."

"An unequivocal five-star masterpiece!"

Where Stories Inspire New Creators

Classroom Visits

Through school visits and creative workshops, we help students step into Bastunia — a world where imagination becomes something real.

When Dillon and Matt visit a classroom, something magical happens: kids start inventing their own beasts, writing their own tales, and discovering their Callings. It’s more than a presentation — it’s an adventure in creativity that sticks long after we leave.

I just wanted to express how impressed I was with Dillon's presentation. I have been to many presentations across the district and this by far was the best I have seen. Not only did he get the kids involved, but he gave them something to look forward to by giving them the opportunity to share their imagination. I truly hope that he has an opportunity to return to our school and community in the coming years and share his positivity and journey with even more students.

I would highly recommend having Dillon Barr and his Unfound Adventures visit your school! Dillon's energy and charisma keep the students thoroughly engaged and motivated. He encourages students to look within while still being mindful of others. This allows students to show their creativity in a safe space.”

Michigamme was very fortunate to have Dillon Barr visit our upper elementary classrooms! He was amazing with our students and I loved seeing how he got all of our students very excited to show their imagination and creativity. He could relate to them in so many ways and his kindness was out of this world (in the words of one of my students).”

The Storytellers Behind Bastunia

Meet Matthew & Dillon

Dillon Barr and Matt Emmorey grew up in southeast Michigan. As much as they love their home state, they were a flight risk. Dillon became pregnant with the ideas for Unfound Adventures in Kenya. They were adopted by Matt in Texas during the pandemic.

The two fancy themselves good parents for Joan and the gang, but much of the childhood of this series was raised in virtual spaces, chairlifts, abandoned pools, high ropes courses, and a multitude of states. What began as a simple story in infancy has since grown into the imagination incubator it is today, with 10 stories, a video game in the works, a pilot script being written, and countless childrens' Callings existing in the world of Bastunia.
